Overwhelmed by the idea of bringing complex scientific issues like climate change or landscape conservation into existing decision or planning processes?

Wondering how to make plans or decisions when there’s so much uncertainty and so many competing goals and objectives?

Feeling sure there’s a way to link science to resource management decisions but not sure how to do it?

Drowning in a sea of data and jargon and advice but still wondering how to apply it to your own work?

Let’s talk.

My focus is combining tools and insights from the fields of decision analysis and climate change adaptation to help individuals and organizations make good decisions in a changing world. I have

  • Worked with managers to integrate climate considerations into a range of decisions as well as into regulatory planning processes related to the Endangered Species Act.
  • Led or supported climate change vulnerability assessments for targets ranging from Puget Sound watersheds to mountain gorillas to Madagascar’s coastal and marine ecosystems.
  • Helped to refine and validate best practices for climate adaptation in Great Lakes coastal wetlands
  • Helped to develop and lead trainings and workshops on vulnerability assessment, adaptation planning, structured decision making, scenario planning, and decision analysis for climate change, reaching more than 2000 people.
